Change of plans, yet again

Because of the expense (considerable) and the timing (poor, given the local events), Rico's sixtieth is no longer in Nawlins. It will be a date close to his actual birthday (12 April), but in Philadelphia. This will be good for some, and not for others. You'll email your intentions, but Rico hopes you can at least come to dinner on Saturday, 14 April. The location will be A La Maison, an excellent French restaurant at 53 West Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore, at 6pm (because Rico says he gets hungry early).

But wait, there's more

The man with the gold is now saying there are, maybe, more days there than we thought. Arrival? Early April. Departure? Maybe a week later. Birthday dinner? Maybe on the 12th, my actual birthday. Hide and watch...

The gold rules

The Golden Rule, of course, is that the man with the gold makes the rules.
In this case, that would be my father.
Thus, we'll be arriving in New Orleans on Friday the 13th (ignoring the superstition) and departing on Sunday the 15th.
My birthday dinner, temporally skewed, will be on Saturday, the 14th, at a splendid New Orleans restaurant to be determined.
Still hope you can make it.

Less salsa and more blues

Okay, it's definitely New Orleans (or Nawlins, as they say locally).
The week surrounding the 12th of April, which falls on a Thursday in 2012.
Hotel yet to be determined, as is the restaurant for the birthday dinner.
Come if you want, don't come if you don't. (But be prepared for a lot of nyah-nyah about what a good time we had, even if you weren't there.)

Hide and watch

Rico says that negotiations are currently underway on redesigning his Sixtieth. Puerto Rico won't be happening, and New Orleans is the currently proposed site...

200 days, near enough

On 12 April 2012, Rico, and as many of his family and friends as can afford to come, will be at the San Juan Water & Beach Club to celebrate his becoming (much to his surprise) sixty.
